ENGLISH DESCRIPTION:
"Conversation On Tiresias" Went on the stage at the Greek Theatre in Syracuse last June 11, 2018, in front of 4 thousand spectators in the context of classical representations made by the National Institute of Ancient Drama, Conversation about Tiresias is a mythical tale, conceived, written, narrated and perfomed by Andrea Camilleri that “cunta” tells the story of the blind soothsayer, whose events through the centuries are intertwined with those of the writer himself. The figure of Tiresias, the mythical blind soothsayer, present throughout the history of literature, has for many years intrigued and fascinated by Andrea Camilleri. In his Conversation Camilleri – or the same Teiresias? – dialogues with Homer, Sophocles, Seneca, Dante, T. S. Eliot, Apollinaire, Virginia Woolf, Borges, Pound, Pavese, and Primo Levi, as well as with Woody Allen, that makes Teiresias The goddess of love, with the Pasolini's Oedipus the King and Genesis The Cinema Show, the song on which the notes will open the show. The research of the writer unfolds through the ages, to tell the story of a character that has been completely whether a woman and a man, and that, as the same the writer, lost his sight.
